Proposition 65

Proposition 65 requires the provision of a warning to California consumers regarding products containing certain chemicals. ADACONN® and INSERTA® is providing the following as a summary disclosure of our policy and procedures with respect to Proposition 65.

The State of California requires businesses to provide a “clear and reasonable” warning before knowingly and intentionally exposing anyone to certain listed chemicals, unless the business can show that the anticipated exposure level will not pose a significant risk of cancer or is significantly below levels observed to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Certain products of ADACONN® and INSERTA® contain elements that are listed by the State of California as known chemicals causing cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm, as follows:

ADACONN® Adapters - lead is present as an alloying agent in the steel used to manufacture the adapter. The element lead is listed by the State of California as a chemical known to cause cancer and known to have developmental toxicity.

ADACONN® Port Connectors - lead is present as an alloying agent in the steel used to manufacture the adapter. The element lead is listed by the State of California as a chemical known to cause cancer and known to have developmental toxicity.

ADACONN® Flanges - we have changed our plating specification to chromium-3 zinc, which does not appear on the list. This plating is a sliver color. We still have a small quantity of inventory plated with chromium-6 zinc. This is a yellow color. The element chromium, with a valence of 6, is listed by the State of California as being a chemical known to cause cancer and known to have developmental toxicity.

INSERTA® Stainless Steel Check Valves - Nickel is present as an alloying agent in the metallic components of the valve. Nickel is an element listed by the State of California as being a chemical known to cause cancer.

INSERTA® Stainless Steel Ball Valves - Nickel is present as an alloying agent in the metallic components of the valve. Nickel is an element listed by the State of California as being a chemical known to cause cancer.

INSERTA® ICT check valves, size 12 and smaller - Lead is used as an alloying agent in the steel used to manufacture the valve body. The element lead is listed by the State of California as a chemical known to cause cancer and known to have developmental toxicity.

INSERTA® ICS check valves, size 12 and smaller - Lead is used as an alloying agent in the steel used to manufacture the valve body. The element lead is listed by the State of California as a chemical known to cause cancer and known to have developmental toxicity.

As we are unable to document an anticipated level of exposure , and therefore cannot show that such exposure will not pose a risk of cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm, Adaconn® and Inserta® has decided to label products shipping to the State of California with the warning labels required.

To assist those who have purchased our products, and may be considering shipping products affected by California Proposition 65 either alone, or as part of machinery, into the State of California, or any other individual, a copy of the appropriate California Proposition 65 warning link will be found on each affected products information page on our website.
